Bioneer Forms Joint Development Partnership with CUTANEON, the Leading Hair Loss Research Company

Bioneer announced on the 17th that it has signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with CUTANEON Skin and Hair Innovation, a German company specializing in hair loss and scalp research, to expand the product lineup of its world-first RNA-based cosmetics, CosmeRNA. Through this collaboration, the two companies aim to maximize technological synergy and pioneer the development of innovative cosmetic products.

CUTANEON was founded by Professor Ralf Paus, a world-renowned authority in the field of hair loss research, often referred to as "Mr. Follicle." He is a research professor of dermatology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and an honorary professor at the University of Cambridge. With decades of research and clinical experience in dermatology and hair science, Professor Paus has published over 720 scientific papers. Additionally, he has pioneered the field of gene silencing in scalp hair follicles, positioning himself as a leader in research on hair loss and scalp health.

The two companies plan to develop a new hair loss cosmetic product by combining CUTANEON’s extensive research expertise with Bioneer’s innovative SAMiRNA technology. CUTANEON was particularly impressed by Bioneer’s RNA-based hair loss cosmetic technology and its groundbreaking development concepts, which led to the decision to collaborate on this joint development project. CUTANEON highly regards CosmeRNA as a technology and product that best aligns with the globally trending concept of "cosmeceuticals," which integrates cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

Through its collaboration with CUTANEON, Bioneer aims to develop next-generation functional cosmetics for the scalp that not only meet fundamental safety standards but also provide targeted care solutions to promote scalp health and alleviate hair loss.
