Bioneer's subsidiary AceBiome, Sweeps ‘Brand of the Year 2025’ Awards in Korea and China
AceBiome (CEO Myunghee Kim), a company specializing in health functional foods, announced on the 28th that it won the Brand of the Year 2025 Grand Prize in both the Korea and China categories. Its flagship premium probiotic brand BNRThin received the award in the Korean Diet Probiotics category for the fourth consecutive year, while its women’s probiotic brand BNRQueen secured the top honor in the Menopause Probiotics category for the third consecutive year. In addition, BNRThin was recognized as the winner in the Diet Probiotics category in China this year, proving its competitiveness on the global stage.
The Brand of the Year Awards is the largest consumer brand recognition event in Korea, organized by the Korea Consumer Forum and sponsored by The Korea Economic Daily. This year, approximately 880,000 Korean consumers participated through online and telephone surveys, generating more than 8.2 million votes to determine the No. 1 brand in each category. For the China category, local online voting was conducted with about 2 million participants and a total of 19.35 million votes cast.
Launched in 2018, BNRThin is formulated with Lactobacillus gasseri BNR17, the first probiotic strain in Korea to receive official functional recognition from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. The product offers dual benefits of body fat reduction and gut health improvement. BNR17 has been published in SCIE-indexed international journals and cited in over 1,200 academic papers, earning strong consumer trust based on scientific validation.
To date, BNRThin has achieved cumulative sales of KRW 900 billion and cumulative sales volume of 18 million units, establishing itself as a premium brand with both proven functionality and market success. In China, the brand has strengthened consumer preference through local e-commerce platforms and consumer touchpoints, leading to this latest recognition.
Meanwhile, BNRQueen contains BNR17 along with Sophora japonica fruit extract, Vitamin D, Vitamin A, Zinc, and Selenium, offering a comprehensive solution for women’s health by addressing body fat management, gut health, and immune balance. Positioned as a trusted leader in the menopause probiotics market, AceBiome views menopause not simply as a transitional stage but as a critical period requiring a new balance of women’s health.
Building on scientific solutions centered on BNR17, the company continues to expand its product portfolio. “My deepest gratitude goes to the consumers for this meaningful recognition, as it is an award directly chosen by them,” said AceBiome CEO Myunghee Kim. “We will continue to drive innovation based on proven functionality, support sustainable and healthy weight management, and expand solutions tailored to evolving health needs across different life stages.”
